We sailed from Evaristo to Aqua-Verde. There was a lot of residual swell from the
previous blow so we bypassed one of our favorite anchorages Los Gatos. It looked like it would be very rolly with
the swell size and direction. Plus we
knew we had only a day or two before more northerlies were predicted and we
wanted to be in Escondido during the blow.
As it was, Coop blew chunks in the cockpit. We learned that Coop was what another cruiser
called a “Puke and Rally” kind of sailor as he was just fine afterwards. When we arrived Cooper and Susan had a good
hike ashore and saw the goat herd. I met
them on the beach after comparing weather notes with another boat. We found a sea turtle shell and a great stick
that Cooper used as a spear.
